What is homeopathy?

The idea behind homeopathy is that an ingredient which produces particular symptoms in healthy people would be useful in curing a disease that would have the same symptoms. This substance is then diluted many times, and thought to have a more powerful effect as the product is diluted.

The FDA regulates homeopathic products but they do not evaluate them as being safe or effective remedies.
